Arbor has immediate openings in its Boston or New York City offices for 2 Senior Multifamily Underwriters. Candidates should have at least five years’ multifamily underwriting experience and have an advanced understanding of the issues associated with multifamily underwriting. Fannie Mae DUS experience is a major plus, though not a requirement. Formal credit training or demonstrated experience with mortgage credit underwriting required. Responsibilities include preparation of Arbor’s proprietary workbook and other analytical schedules or reports to recommend an appropriate credit decision on each case assigned. Demonstrated experience with managing timelines and deal team members required. Candidates will be required to assist in support of commitment issuance and loan closings by ensuring Commitment conditions are satisfied.
Candidates should hold a degree in finance or related discipline and possess strong analytical, organizational, writing, communication and management skills. Applicants must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be prepared to present recommendations to senior management and Loan Committee. National travel is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. Samples of previously completed work will be required.
