Arbor’s Williamsville, NY office currently has an opening for a Portfolio Manager who possesses knowledge of commercial real estate and underwriting principles to monitor a portfolio of commercial real estate loans in order to assess portfolio quality, identify areas of risk, evaluate longterm viability/performance and proactively mitigate potential loss.
The main responsiblities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Financial analysis of project operations/borrower wherewithal.
- Physical evaluation of properties.
- Loan document review/interpretation.
- Analysis of recommendation for release of funds in connection with project improvement
interface with investor(s) relative to negotiation/management of various loan issues.
(e.g. insurance claim settlements, prepayment caluculation, document amendments, etc.)
timely satisfaction/compliance with investor (contractual) requirements re: loan management functions.
- Coordination/management of numerous parties (attorneys/borrowers/investor/et al) relative to specific loan issues.
Candidate should have 3-5 years experience in commercial real estate mortgage servicing and/or loan underwriting along with a 4-year college degree; business/finance preferred. Advanced proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel/Word applications; access, letter writer a plus. Strong interpersonal/negotiation skills and organizational/time management skills are essential to the success of this position. National travel is required.
