Arbor’s Williamsville, NY office currently has an opening for a Loan Risk Manager to be responsible for the monitoring of watchlist loans, and/or those loans exhibiting greater/more imminent occasion for risk. The Loan Risk Manager will also assist in the monitoring and management of a substantial rehab loan portfolio.
The main responsiblities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Financial analysis of property operations / borrower wherewithal to evaluate any potential risk.
- Physical inspection / evaluation of high risk loan properties throughout the US.
- Delinquency control and reporting to HUD,Fannie Mae and various other Investors.
- Management of rehab process which entails the coordination of various parties (borrower, contractor, inspectors/engineers, title companies, etal) to ensure timely draw execution in concert with lien free title, and protection of HUD, Fannie Mae, Arbor and Other Investors in accordance with loan documentation and Investor requirements.
- Monitor additional loan collateral (e.g. Letters of Credit) and/or status of additional funding sources to ensure on-going loan viability during project rehab / construction and lease-up stage.
Candidates should have a Bachelor degree with a minimum of 3-5 years in commercial real estate, with emphasis in workout resolution and substantial rehab monitoring which entails project performance analytics. This position also requires knowledge of HUD/Fannie Mae compliance requirements, strong negotiation skills that would allow diverse entities the ability to resolve issues/mitigate risks without an adverse impact to Arbor/investor/project performance. Proficiency in Word / Excel, the ability to quickly assimilate and /or support evolving system technologies is also necessary for success.
