Arbor’s Uniondale office has an immediate opening for a Financial Reporting Manager.
The main functions include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing corporate reporting includes SEC (10Q/10K), Annual Proxy, Quarterly Board Package as well as ad hoc reports
- Becoming an integral member of our internal SOX team which includes documentation, testing and coordination between auditors and consultants
- Creating technical accounting memos and research
This position requires a "hands-on" individual with a solid technical understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), technical accounting research experience and excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem solving skills. The Financial Reporting Manager will also be responsible for maintaining strict internal controls including adherence to SOX and will be the primary SOX liaison with our external auditors and consultants.
Requirements are as follows:
- CPA
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 5 – 10 years managing the financial reporting process for public and private companies or clients
- Financial SEC reporting for a public company or client
- Commercial real estate industry experience is a huge plus but not required; experience with real estate or financial services experience is required.
This position also requires candidates to have the ability to manage and interact with a team when necessary, the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and complete assignments on a timely basis.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are also required.
